Dr. Bocell

As the Medical Director for Acceleration Training Concepts, he participates in the initial evaluation of new clients to document medical issues, weaknesses, and areas of concern. In conjunction with the training staff, he helps develop customized training protocols for each client. The resulting philosophy and methodology of these exercise programs is a combination of medical input, exercise physiology, kinesiology, and sports performance.

Graduated from Harvard in 1969, receiving him M.D. shortly after from Baylor College of Medicine in 1973. Dr. Bocell continued his medical journey at Baylor College of Medicine by completing a year of residency in General Surgery and a 4-year residency in Orthopedic Surgery. Afterwards he spent a year in Colombus, Georgia completing a sports medicine fellowship with Dr. Jack Hughston.
FUN FACT:
He founded the Baylor Sports Medicine Institute and trained medical students, interns, residents, and fellows. He served as team physician for a number of athletic teams, including the Houston Oilers.
